Our pre-designed house plans feature detailed architectural drawings that are practically designed with value engineering in mind. All plans include the following: Cover sheet notes, Elevations on all four sides, Sectional Plan, Floor Plan(s), (Non-Engineered) Foundation and Floor Framing, Roof Plan, and Architectural Details. Step 1: Find the Right House Plan

When comparing house plans, consider:

- Special features: Consider livability, traffic flow, function, storage, outdoor living spaces, parking, and other features, advantages, and benefits that matter to you.
- Site Conditions: Plan for site specific conditions such as sloped lot, snow load, seismic and wind conditions, View corridor, HOA limitations, Etc.
Review the product page shown in the house plan listing for your preferred design, including the plan number, bedrooms, bathrooms, garage and building square footages and available options.
Step 2: Review What's Included in Your House Plans
Every house plan purchase includes a set of architectural drawings intended to support the planning and construction process. The standard plan set generally includes:
- General notes
- Exterior elevations on all four sides
- Floor plan(s)
- Building sectional plan
- Foundation and Floor framing
- Roof plan
- Architectural details
These Architectural drawings provide important information about the home’s design, layout, and construction details such as roof pitch, wall height, siding materials, door and window sizes, foundation type, materials and construction methods.
What’s Not Included?
Standard house plan packages do not include structural information, engineering structural notes, structural details, structural calculations, structural specifications, engineering drawings, beam sizes, foundation specifications or documents, site plan, energy calculations, civil drawings, building site grades, electrical plans, or other project-specific documents unless expressly stated in the scope of work or purchase agreement.
Depending on your property, local building codes, and permitting requirements, additional drawings, engineering, or professional services may be necessary. Custom Your Way Design does not provide some of these services and they must be obtained through a third party. We are happy to help coordinate as required using our trusted partners.

Step 4: Complete Your Purchase
Proceed to checkout to enter your billing information and complete your purchase using the available payment methods.
Please verify that your contact information and order details are correct before submitting your order. Keep your order confirmation for your records, as you may need your order number or house plan number when contacting us. We must have the building site address and or parcel number to process and order.
After checkout, follow the instructions provided with your purchase to access your files or receive your house plans through the applicable fulfillment process.

Step 5: Review Your Customer Welcome Document
After your purchase, check your order confirmation email and downloadable files for your Customer Welcome Document.
This document provides step-by-step instructions for completing your post-purchase requirements, including:
- Locating and reviewing your Contract Agreement and Terms and Conditions Agreement, when applicable.
- Completing and signing the required documents.
- Emailing your signed agreements to Custom Your Way Design.
- Completing the House Plan Customization Questionnaire if you’re requesting modifications.
- Providing relevant information about your property, design preferences, household needs, and project goals.
- Submitting helpful reference images or property documents, if available.

Step 6: Submit Your Required Documents and Information
Your order requires a signed agreement and may require additional project information, follow the submission instructions in your Customer Welcome Document.

Step 7: Confirm Your Next Steps
Once you’ve submitted the required paperwork and information, check your email for follow-up communication from our team.
For customers requesting house plan modifications, we’ll use the information provided to discuss the requested changes, feasibility, applicable fees, and expected timelines as appropriate to your agreement. We are available for in-person consultation or an online meeting format such as Zoom for dialing in your custom changes.
Please note that submitting documents or a customization request does not automatically confirm feasibility, cost, plan changes, a project start date, or approval of the requested changes. Approval for changes is still required from Custom Your Way Design. Refer to your signed agreement and written confirmation for the agreed scope of work and next steps.
